The next 5th International Conference on
Collective Motion in Nuclei under Extreme Conditions (COMEX5)
will be held in 2015 in Krakow and
will last from September 14, 2015 (Monday) till September 18, 2015 (Friday).
The conference is organized by the
Niewodniczanski Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Sciences (IFJ PAN), Krakow;
and co-organized by the
Jagiellonian University (UJ), Krakow;
University of Science and Technology (AGH), Krakow;
University of Warsaw (UW), Warsaw
and
Foundation for the AGH University
The COMEX conferences are a continuation of the long series of topical conferences on giant resonances started in 1979. The scope of COMEX5 will be similar to that of the previous ones:
COMEX1, held in Paris (France) in 2003,
COMEX2, held in Sankt Goar (Germany) in 2006,
COMEX3, held at Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island, Michigan (US) in 2009 and
COMEX4, held at Shonan Village Center, in Kanagawa (Japan) in 2012
The main topics of COMEX5 conference are:
At the beginning of the conference we plan to have a Keynote Introductory Session devoted both to COMEX5 participants as well as to younger scientists and students, concerning the overview of some of the major topics of the conference in a simpler, more pedagogical way.
